Family stories cannot be replaced

Tiora helps families preserve photographs, recordings, documents and the stories around them before they are lost.

We collect and organise agreed material, schedule eligible originals for return and create a permission-based family archive that can be understood and cared for over time.

Discuss an ambassador partnership
Two generations looking through family photographs and archival materials together.

For organisations families already trust

The ambassador pathway is for:

  • aged-care and later-life organisations
  • heritage, historical and cultural groups
  • photographers, archivists and family-history practitioners
  • community, cultural and membership groups
  • other trusted connectors who recognise when family material is at risk

Tiora supports direct referrals and agreed white-label pathways. Before introductions begin, we agree the partner’s role, client experience, responsibilities, payment and disclosure. The contracting and consent model ensures families understand who provides the service and how their information is handled.

When a family may need Tiora

Consider Tiora when a family:

  • is preparing for a move, downsizing or a transition into care
  • has boxes of photographs, albums, films, tapes or papers that nobody has had time to organise
  • wants to record stories while the people who know them can still tell them
  • is worried that meaningful material sits with one relative or on one device
  • has completed some scanning but still lacks order, context or a continuity plan
  • is navigating bereavement or a change in who holds the family archive

From scattered materials to a living family resource

Tiora works directly with the family to:

  • gather, digitise and organise agreed materials
  • capture useful names, dates, stories and relationships
  • schedule eligible physical originals for return under the agreed handling terms
  • establish appropriate access, roles and permissions
  • plan for ongoing stewardship and succession

The result is not simply a digitised collection. It is a family resource that can be understood, used and cared for over time.

What happens next

A simple introduction

1
Ask permission
Ask whether the family would like an introduction. Do not send sensitive material or detailed personal information.
2
Connect us
A name, preferred contact detail and a sentence about the family's broad need are enough.
3
We listen first
Tiora explains the service and confirms whether it is appropriate. There is no obligation.
4
The family decides
If the family continues, Tiora agrees the scope, participants, permissions and next steps directly with them.

Family trust comes first

Family collections can be personal, emotional and culturally sensitive. Families decide what Tiora receives and who can access it.

Each family archive uses permission-based member access. Tiora and authorised service providers process information as needed to operate and support the service. Information shared with a referring organisation depends on the agreed pathway, authority and Privacy Policy.

Questions about authority or sensitive content are addressed before material is handled. Where specialist legal, cultural or archival advice is required, Tiora identifies the need rather than stepping outside its role.

Help a family begin before the moment passes

If preserving family photographs, voices, stories and heritage belongs naturally in the support you provide, let's discuss a thoughtful introduction pathway.
